Competition Rules

Parents and all competitors should respect and follow the rules of competition from The Junior Golf Series

Since we aim to host a higher standard event, we will strictly follow international standard including rules, and etiquettes. This is to allow our juniors to be trained, learned and competed within the international standard and rules.

Qualifications:

  1. All players must be The Junior Golf Series Member only
  2. Male or Female not older than 22 years old (not yet 23)

Format of play 

For the season of 2025

  1. There will be 8 qualification events, which we will compete in 2-days tournament (total of 36 holes, gross score) to gain OOM points towards Thailand Junior Masters. After the conclusion of 8 events from our ranking system will advance to Thailand Junior Masters, a 3-days event over 54 holes.
  2. During the season, players will have a chance to compete for various international junior events such as Singapore, Malaysia, Netherlands, Australia and India.
  3. For The Master Championship our top juniors will compete for spots and scholarships to play in Malaysia, South Korea, and other International Events.

For 2025 season we have split classes by age as below

  • 1Class A
    Born 2 February 2003 to 1 February 2010
  • 2Class B
    Born 2 February 2010 to 1 February 2012
  • 3Class C
    Born 2 February 2012 to 1 February 2014
  • 4Class D
    Born 2 February 2014 to 1 February 2016
  • 5Class E
    Born 2 February 2016 to 1 February 2018

Rules of competition

  • Players cannot change their classes during the season
  • Players are allow to play in older class (if they choose to)
  • We suggest players to registered in their age group

Our raking system (point system) (36 hole)

    50 points + number of competitors below them

    6 and onwards

    40 points + number of competitors below them

    From 6th place onwards, players who shoot the same scores will earn same amount of points

In the event of players have same amount of points after 6 events we will decide by:

  • Stroke Average
  • If stroke averages are still the same, we will decide by number of events they compete in
  • If they compete in the same amount of events, we will decide by a play-off (sudden death or 18-holes play off)
