Overview
The Academy League is a tournament platform designed to promote team competition among golf academies and schools. It emphasizes team spirit, development, and performance under international competition standards.
Parents, coaches, and players must respect the Rules of Golf, player conduct, and competition framework set forth by The Junior Golf Series. All events will be run in accordance with the USGA/R&A Rules of Golf and adhere to the highest standards of sportsmanship and etiquette.
Eligibility & Team Composition
- Open to all golf academies or schools officially registered with The Junior Golf Series.
- All participating academies or schools must submit an official logo for team identification and promotional use.
- Each academy or school may register up to 10 players on their official team roster for the season. Only registered players are eligible to compete in Academy League events.
- Teams that register with fewer than 10 players at the beginning of the season may add players later, but only up to the maximum of 10. Subject to committee approval.
- Each academy or school may only modify their player roster once per season, and such modifications are allowed exclusively between the 4th and 5th events. All adjustments are subject to verification and must be approved by the organizing committee.
- No player may represent more than one academy or school in the same tournament.
- All players must wear a visible item that clearly identifies their academy or school during competition (e.g., team shirt, cap, pin, or bag tag). Full uniform is encouraged but not mandatory.
- All players must be active members of The Junior Golf Series. Non-members are not eligible to participate.
Format of Play (2026 Season)
- The season will feature 8 team events (within the The JGS Central)
- Each competition day will use the best 2 out of a10 scores (regardless of age category) as a team score
- Only registered Academies / Schools are eligible for “Academy League” Order of Merit Points
Event Points System (Per Team)

- 1st Place – 1000 points
- 2nd Place – 800 points
- 3rd Place – 650 points
- 4th Place – 550 points
- 5th Place – 450 points
- 6th Place – 400 points
- 7th Place – 350 points
- 8th Place – 300 points
- 9th Place – 250 points
- 10th Place – 200 points
- 11th & onwards – 150 points
Tie-Breaker (for each event & for final order of merits)
In the event of a tie, no countback or playoff will be conducted. Teams with identical scores will share the same final position, and corresponding points or awards will be distributed equally.
Final Notes
- The organizing committee reserves the right to adjust the schedule, rules, and regulations for the integrity and fairness of the league.
- All decisions made by the tournament committee are final.
